Encyclopedia knowledge on the application of thread locking agents
What are the uses of thread locking agents and what components are they usually applied to? Thread locking agent is a single component sealing adhesive made using the principle of oxygen inhibiting free radical polymerization, which can be used for both bonding and sealing. When the coated surface is isolated from air and catalyzed, it can quickly polymerize and cure at room temperature.
Ruilangda thread locking agent is an adhesive composed of (methyl) acrylate, initiator, co promoter, stabilizer (anti polymerization agent), dye, and filler mixed together in a certain proportion. It is a single component sealing adhesive made using the principle of oxygen inhibiting free radical polymerization, which can be used for both bonding and sealing. When the coated surface is isolated from air and catalyzed, it can quickly polymerize and cure at room temperature.
Typical uses and applications of Ruilangda thread locking agent
Widely applicable to automotive, mechanical, electronic, electrical, hardware thread locking, pipe thread sealing, locking nuts, bolts and screws to avoid loosening caused by vibration, fill the space between metal part threads, and maintain thread looseness with good effect and convenient operation.
Ruilangda thread locking adhesive function
(1) Tighten the thread. Metal screws are prone to loosening or detachment due to impact and vibration, and traditional mechanical locking methods are not ideal, while chemical locking methods are cheap and effective. If the screws are coated with anaerobic adhesive and assembled, a strong plastic film will be formed in the thread gap after curing, so that the screw lock will not loosen. There are already pre coated anaerobic adhesives available, which are pre coated on screws and stored for use (with a shelf life of four years). As long as the screws are screwed in and tightened, the expected anti loosening effect can be achieved.
(2) Good sealing performance. No plane can be completely in close contact and requires leak proof sealing. Traditional methods include using gaskets such as rubber, asbestos, or metal, but they can quickly leak due to aging or corrosion. Using anaerobic adhesive instead of solid gaskets can achieve tight contact after curing, making the sealing more durable. Anaerobic adhesive is used for sealing threaded pipe joints and threaded plugs, sealing flange mating surfaces, sealing mechanical box mating surfaces, etc., all of which have good leak prevention effects.
(3) Fix the firmware position. Cylindrical components, such as bearings and shafts, pulleys and shafts, gears and shafts, bearings and seat holes, bushings and holes, and other hole shaft combination accessories, were previously assembled using hot fitting, cold pressing, and other dimensional interference methods, supplemented by keys and pins. This fixed method requires strict machining accuracy, and due to different thermal expansion coefficients, it can cause wear and corrosion, making it easy to loosen. The use of anaerobic adhesive can fill the gaps in the fit, and after curing, it is firm, durable, stable and reliable. The use of anaerobic adhesive fixation method reduces processing accuracy requirements, simplifies assembly operations, improves production efficiency, and reduces energy consumption and processing costs.
